Too many getting on and off trains getting to our hotel while having to lug out suitcases up and down numerous stairs to get from platform to platform. Paul was a very good tour manager

I didn't realize there would be so much travel time before getting to St. Johann--almost 2 full days. Somehow missed that I was on my own getting back to London from Munich because I wasn't on a Great Rail Journey trip. Made a reservation on Lufthansa pretty close to leaving on the trip. A beautiful look at the Tyrolean Alps that probably could have been condensed by a day or two.

We had a great holiday but the journey to and from Austria was hectic and very tiring. The hassle just was not worth it! Our Guide Paul was great and the hotel was good though the beds were incredibly hard!

Solo travellers are misled by the sales team. Every time I spoke with the salesperson, I always asked if there were other solo travellers on the trip, and I was assured each time, that there were. It is obvious that they do not cater for single travellers, and the sales team tells you what you want to hear to gain another sale. I found out on my day of travel that I was the only single person on the Austrian Alps trip. I ended up not going. The company just did not care, as it is obvious they do not cater for solo travellers. I am very disappointed in their lack of understanding of solo travellers. The only time I heard from the company sales team after, was by WhatsApp, to check if I left a negative report because they had received a low score from their company. I would have preferred a message of apology for misleading me.
